How Military Technology Became a Pain Relief Patch (The Accidental Breakthrough Nobody Expected)

The Short Answer

Signal Relief started as a military antenna project to shrink the gear Navy SEALs carried. Before the antennas were even connected to a radio, they picked up what engineers thought was noise, it was the human body's electrical field. That discovery led to a patch that redirects pain signals out of the body rather than masking them, with no chemicals, no medication, and zero side effects across 800,000 units sold.

What You'll Take Away

  • The patch came from antenna technology designed to reduce the weight soldiers carried, five-foot antenna and 80-pound backpack down to a credit card with one-tenth the power.
  • Pain is an electrical frequency generated by nerves that travels up the neural pathway to the brain, and the patch redirects that energy out of the body along the path of least resistance.
  • Five clinical trials show 85 percent efficacy: most users feel a 60 percent or better decrease in discomfort within fifteen minutes.
  • The patch works on animals, a horse that was going to be put down stood up two hours after application, and a dog with arthritis that could not climb stairs was running after the patch was bandaged to its back.
  • Signal Relief offers a forty-five-day money-back guarantee because most people know in fifteen minutes whether it works, and the company has had zero reported side effects across 800,000 units.
  • Mike Hammond was initially skeptical of his own product until he put a prototype on his back and his chronic pain from a blown disc disappeared in ten minutes.
  • A White House cabinet member's foot pain vanished in two days, leading to trial discussions at Georgetown and attention from federal health officials.

The Breakdown

What Started in Heber

Signal Relief did not begin as a health product. It began as a Department of Defense project to shrink an 80-pound backpack and a five-foot antenna that one Navy SEAL had to carry every time a team deployed. Mike Hammond had already built and sold one of the largest Dish Network retailers in The United States when a former MBA classmate pulled him into a printable electronics company working on advanced antenna technology. The goal was straightforward: make the antenna smaller, reduce the power, make the signal travel farther.

Mike brought six or seven Dish engineers to Heber to see the new tech. The team had built electrical antennas instead of magnetic ones, turn them on and the signal spreads like a light bulb, everywhere at once, traveling farther on less power. The problem was noise. Electrical antennas pick up interference that makes it hard to get a clean signal from point A to point B. These engineers claimed they had solved it.

They taped two credit-card-sized antennas to cell towers on opposite sides of Heber and sent ones and zeros across the city. The signal performed better than the magnetic baseline. The Dish engineers said it was impossible. Mike invested close to a million dollars.

The Noise Nobody Expected

When the team started fitting the antennas on soldiers, something happened that nobody was looking for. Before the antennas were ever hooked into a radio, they were picking up what the engineers thought was electrical noise. They moved to another building. Same noise. It was not the building. It was the body.

The human body generates electrical frequencies. Pain is one of them. Mike's business partner Daniel ran the factory where they were building the antennas. He called Mike and said the antennas were doing something with back discomfort, leg discomfort, knees, shoulders. Mike said no. He was not interested. He thought it was stupid.

Mike had blown out a disc doing overhead cleans at a CrossFit gym he owned. For eight years, if he put more than 100 pounds on his back, the disc would pop out. Daniel got him to put a prototype on, it looked like a mouse pad at the time. Ten minutes later, Mike said what the heck, it does not hurt anymore. That is what got him to invest in building the patch.

when we were putting the antennas on the soldiers, before we ever hooked it into a radio, the antennas were picking up electrical, what we called it noise. And we were like, where's the noise coming from? So we'd go into another building and do it again, and it'd pick up noise. And we're like, what the heck's going on? Well, come to find out it was the body.

How the Patch Actually Works

Pain is an electrical frequency that nerves generate. That frequency travels up the neural pathway and hits the brain. The more energy that hits the brain, the more pain you feel. Coming from the tech world, Mike's framing was that is easy.

He explains it with lightning. Lightning hits a house or a tree, boom. Put a lightning rod on the house and the lightning goes across the house to the rod and into the ground. Energy always follows the path of least resistance. You give it an easier path to the ground, and all that energy focuses into the rod and then leaves.

The neural pathways in the body create a similar system. Energy travels up those pathways to the brain. When it hits the patch, for 85 percent of people, there is a warmth or a tingle. That energy is hitting the patch and finding it easier to go into the patch than to continue up to the brain. Instead of going all the way to the brain, the patch gives it a highway out of the body.

Five clinical trials, all landing at 85 percent efficacy. Fifteen percent of people are just a little bit different, and the patch does not cover them. Mike says they would have to tweak the frequency. The patch is a collection of certain materials that create a specific frequency. Frequency attracts frequency. For the 85 percent it works for, they feel a 60 percent or better decrease in discomfort in less than fifteen minutes.

What's pain like, Google, you should type it in your AI right now. What causes pain in the body? It's going to be an electrical frequency that your nerves generate that go up your neural pathway and hit the brain. The more energy, it's just energy, that hits the brain, the more pain you feel. So coming from the tech world, we're like, that's easy.

The Vet at Walmart

Mike lives near Yellowstone, on the border of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. He was at Walmart and saw a vet sitting with a sign asking for money to get to the vet hospital in Bozeman. Someone held $20 out a car window. The vet stood up to get it, grabbed his leg, and sat back down. The car drove off.

Mike ran to the office and got his customer service team because they hear stories on the phone but he wanted them to see it. One of the employees pulled out a cell phone and recorded. Mike asked the vet how long his leg had been hurting. Thirty years. Submarine explosion in Vietnam. Mike asked how bad it was. The vet looked at him and said I have not slept a single night in thirty years.

Mike put the patch on the vet's knee, right on the prosthetic where his leg goes into it. The patch does not even have to touch skin. It just has to get into the electrical grid. Ten seconds later, the vet said that is crazy, it does not hurt. Mike said why don't you try walking. The vet said no, you don't understand, I can't walk. Mike said just try it. The vet got up, took three steps, turned around, and tears came down both eyes. He saluted them.

They gave him the money for the bus ticket and went back to the office. The employee said I just recorded that whole thing. Mike said he needed to get a release. They went back to Walmart to find the vet. He was running circles around his wheelchair. Huge smile. Can you believe this? I can't believe this. Look what I'm doing.

Mike showed that video at a MAHA event at the Microsoft Building in DC. Standing ovation. Senators in the room. Everyone knows someone in chronic pain.

When it hits this patch and they feel it start to warm up for eighty five percent of people, they're going to have a 60% or better decrease in pain in less than fifteen minutes, with decrease in discomfort without actually like, literally without putting anything into the body. So we've sold 800,000 of these, and we haven't had one person have a side effect yet.
Mike Hammond

The Cabinet Member and Georgetown

After the MAHA event, Mike was asked to meet with a White House cabinet member who had really bad foot pain for six years. No relief. Mike made signal step insoles for him. Two days later, Mike got a text from a doctor who used to be the joint chief of staff's physician and now works with several cabinet members at the White House. The text said Mike, we need to talk. The cabinet member just got ahold of me and said his feet are not hurting anymore. This thing is amazing. I want to get some trials going at Georgetown. When can we talk?

That is where the FDA path started. Mike says they are far away from doctors being able to prescribe it, but that is the end goal. Right now, the patch qualifies as a health and wellness product because it is so noninvasive. They cannot say pain on TV. They cannot target diseases. But they can make it so people do not have to risk much. Forty-five-day money-back guarantee. Most people know in fifteen minutes if it works.

I haven't slept a single night in thirty years.

The Horse, the Dog, and Placebo

Mike's brother-in-law died in a car wreck. He was a big hunter, had been on Steve Outdoor Ventures, and owned a walking horse called Moose. Mike's sister asked him to take care of it because her son wanted the horse. Mike said bring it over. The horse broke through the gate at Mike's house and got into a 50-gallon drum of grain. If you give a horse more than a couple scoops, it gets so hot that the heat blows out their feet and they are usually done.

July 22, the horse was on the ground. You could see the pain in its face. Four days later, holes had been blown out of both back legs. It still had not gotten up. The vet said I don't know if we are going to be able to save this thing.

A customer had posted a video of her dog with arthritis that could not walk up the stairs. She had bandaged one of the Jovi patches around its back with a brown wrap bandage. The dog was running up and down the stairs. Mike saw the post and thought placebo is a real thing, but you cannot fake placebo with a horse and a dog. He put the patch on the horse. Two hours later, the horse stood up.

Mike says the clinical results are so far above placebo that there is always some placebo for sure, but it is hard to explain the magnitude of the response. He also says the patch does not replace anything you actually need to do to fix the problem in the first place. It is a tool. One of the tools everyone should have.

He's like, no, you don't understand. I can't walk. I can't walk. And I'm like, why don't you just try it? So he gets up, he takes three steps, he turns around, and tears just come down both eyes, and he salutes us.

The Email on the Wall

Three years ago, a mother emailed Signal Relief's customer service. The email is pasted up in the corporate office. Her daughter was eight when she started complaining that her feet and lower legs hurt. She was a competitive dancer and tumbler. The mother figured it was from that. It got worse. The daughter quit dance. The mother took her to a pediatrician, who sent her to an orthopedic surgeon, who sent her to a vascular specialist, who sent her to a rheumatologist at Primary Children's. The rheumatologist diagnosed amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome. Extreme and constant pain.

After five years of doctors, MRIs, physical therapy, special boots, and compression socks, it was determined there was nothing that could help her. The pain averaged an eight on a scale of one to ten. Some days she had to call her parents from a friend's house two doors away because she could not walk home. She turned down birthday parties, trampoline parks, ice skating rinks. Her friends left her in the middle of the mall because she could not walk anymore and they wanted to keep shopping. She hid the pain as much as possible, but her life was never the same.

Six weeks before the email, the mother was browsing Facebook and saw a neighbor talking about cramps. Someone suggested the patch. She clicked the link, read the description, and had tears streaming down her eyes. She ordered the patches. When they came, she helped her daughter put one on her leg. Within seconds, the daughter started sobbing uncontrollably. The mother panicked, thinking she was hurt. The daughter looked her in the eyes and barely managed to say mom, it is gone, completely gone. This girl who had not had one minute of relief in over seven years. It was gone in an instant.

They put another one on her other leg. Same thing. After she stopped sobbing, she stood up and jumped around the kitchen. She had not been able to do that in so long. She has been wearing the patch on both legs every day since. The mother wrote that her emotions about it were so strong she was crying as she typed. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Words of gratitude will never be enough. You forever changed my daughter's life.

She looked me in the eyes and barely managed to say, mom, it's gone, completely gone. This sweet girl who's not had one minute of relief in over seven years, and it's gone in an instant.

What I Take From This

I asked Mike why the whole world has not heard about this if it is as good as it is. He said they are very limited in what they can say because it is a health and wellness patch. They cannot target diseases. Usually when people talk about their problems, they tell you exactly what the problem was, which makes it so Signal Relief cannot use the testimonial. But the testimonials are life changing.

I was skeptical when Mike first described this to me. I am easy to sell as a sales guy, but I know people are sitting here saying bullshit. Mike said that is what I said. That is why he offers the forty-five-day money-back guarantee. If you do not believe him, just try it and see. You think he is full of crap, order it and tell him if he is full of crap in fifteen minutes.

I am putting this on my daughter. She just broke her tibia. My wife might think I am crazy, but I am going to put this on her. I am going to make sure my wife listens to this episode. I am going to make sure everybody hears this. If this is the stuff Mike is doing and the lives he is changing, we need to be louder about it. Too many people are suffering with pain they do not need. Chronic pain that doctors have written off. We are helping people who have had thirty years of pain from war, now dancing around a wheelchair. A daughter who could not walk two doors down, friends dropping her in the middle of the mall. This patch is fixing that.

Mike says it is not the answer to everything. There are so many good things in the world right now. But it is one of the tools that everyone should have. You are going to have a medical cabinet full of hydrogen peroxide, Neosporin. This is one of those things that should be in that medicine cabinet. It is a no-brainer. You have nothing to lose. From the sounds of it, everything to gain, either for yourself or someone you love.

Questions This Episode Answers

How does the Signal Relief patch work?

The patch redirects pain signals out of the body by providing a path of least resistance for the electrical frequencies that nerves generate. Pain is an electrical frequency that travels up the neural pathway to the brain. When that energy hits the patch, it is easier for the energy to go into the patch than to continue up to the brain, so the patch gives it a highway out of the body. The patch does not put anything into the body and has had zero reported side effects across 800,000 units sold.

What percentage of people does the Signal Relief patch work for?

Five clinical trials show the patch works for 85 percent of people. For that 85 percent, users typically feel a 60 percent or better decrease in discomfort within fifteen minutes. The remaining 15 percent are just a little bit different, and the patch does not cover them. The company would have to tweak the frequency to address that group.

Does the Signal Relief patch have any side effects?

Signal Relief has sold 800,000 units and has not had one person report a side effect. The patch is noninvasive and does not put anything into the body. It simply redirects the electrical energy that causes pain out of the body along the path of least resistance. Unlike a TENS unit, which shocks nerves and scrambles them, the patch does nothing but allow energy to leave.

How long does the Signal Relief patch last?

The patch lasts a year. You can wear it every day for a year. The company offers a forty-five-day money-back guarantee, so if the patch does not work for you, you get every dollar back. Most people know in fifteen minutes whether the patch is working, though a few have to wait a day or so.

Can the Signal Relief patch be used on animals?

Yes. A customer posted a video of her dog with arthritis that could not walk up stairs. She bandaged a patch around its back with a brown wrap bandage, and the dog was running up and down the stairs. Mike Hammond used the patch on a horse that was going to be put down after foundering. Two hours after the patch was applied, the horse stood up. The patch works on animals because the body's electrical field is not unique to humans.

What conditions has the Signal Relief patch been tested on?

The patch has been tested in five clinical trials, all showing 85 percent efficacy for discomfort reduction. One trial involved 80 women with endometriosis, and the average decrease in discomfort was 40 percent, which the president of the Endometriosis Society said was better than anything he had ever seen. The patch has also been used by the national soccer team in Mexico, where quad injuries that normally take 28 to 30 days to heal took 7 to 8 days with the patch. The company is currently conducting an IBR clinical trial for menstrual discomfort.

Kayvon Kay0:00Pain is one of the most misunderstood problems in business and in life. Not emotional pain, but actual and physical pain. The kind that stops people from sleeping, from showing up, from doing the work. Chronic pain that doctors have written off, pain that vets have carried for thirty years. My guest today built something out of a military antenna project originally designed to shrink an 80 pound backpack for Navy SEALs jumping out of planes. What came out of that is a patch. No drugs, no electricity, no side effects, 800,000 units sold, clinical results across five studies, and a track record that now has the White House paying attention. Mike Hammond is the founder of Signal Relief, and this conversation is going to make you rethink what you thought you knew about pain, the body, and what technology can actually do for people. This is the vault. Let's unlock it.

Kayvon Kay1:17Mike, welcome to the show. How are you? I'm I'm fantastic. I'm excited because I know it's a little bit different episode we're gonna be having, but we're gonna be talking about a product that you've created. I can't wait to talk about the story because we talked about it a little bit earlier and I you just it was fascinating story here. But all the way from signal relief, you and your company are doing some game changing things right now. In a world of AI where all this technology is happening, you are actually doing some physical game changing things for human beings. Absolutely.

Mike Hammond1:50I wish I could have like three hours just to like put on testimonials, right? We're very limited. Because it's because we're a health and wellness patch, we're very limited. We can't target diseases as such. And usually when people are talking about their problems, they're always telling you exactly what the problem was, which makes it so we can't use their but man, the testimonials, it's like game changing for these people. It's it's life changing. So

Kayvon Kay2:21And I know. And you didn't even know what you were building when you first started. No. So let's go back. Let's reverse back to where did this all begin? Like, who who is Mike Hammond, by the way? Right? Like, who is Mike Hammond? Right? But when you were trucking, right, with the I think it was the military, and all of a sudden, things started happening. Let's let's. We,

Mike Hammond2:43so I've been an entrepreneur my whole life. Ever since college, I've never worked for a person in my life. Always had my own businesses, I have 13 right now. It's just kind of been my thing. One of them was a large satellite retailer, and it's called Dish One Satellite, but we were the by 2010, we were the largest in The United States, and Dish Network ended up buying us in 2012. So to just kind of give you an idea, I have I got my MBA at the U. It was an executive MBA, so most of my classmates were entrepreneurs and business owners, or executives. And as soon as I sold my first company, Dish One, to Dish, it was like all my MBA buddies started calling me saying, hey, you should invest in this. Hey, bro, we should go do this. You know? It's just how it works. So one of them was actually, he's a Marriott. His his grandpa built the Marriott hotels. Okay. There you go. So he runs Spectra Symbol, which basically, it's a it's a company that was funded. It's funny. We actually researched them in our MBA class, and I'm looking through the financials, and I noticed that it was the Marriott Foundation that originally funded them. And that's like I'm like he never tells anyone. I'm like, what who's the Marriott like, is this your grandpa? He's like, yeah, it's my grandpa. So anyway, he was the CEO of their company that builds tech. And what they do is printable electronics. So smaller stuff, like usually the motherboard of like an oil rig or a rainbird sprinkler, smaller stuff like that. And so he said, hey, I'm working on a new project right now that I know you're going to want to invest in. You got to come out here. Well, at the time, I'm now the CEO of Dish One Satellite, which is owned by Dish, so I work a lot with Charlie Ergen and those guys. So they fly out, like, I think six, seven or between six or eight engineers with me come out to go see this new tech these guys are building. And what they did is they brought us to Heber. And what happened at the time, you got to go back in time, because back in 2012 when they deployed a team of Navy SEALs, one guy in that group had to carry around a five foot antenna and an 80 pound backpack. So these guys are jumping out of planes sometimes, right? Or like an 80 pound backpack's a problem. And so Yeah. The Department of Defense was asking they're trying to figure out a way to shrink this down and get rid of the weight in the backpack. So what happened is these guys claimed they had built an electrical antenna instead of magnetic. So our current antennas, you point it in a direction, the more power you put behind it, the farther signal goes. Electrical is like a light bulb. Turn on a light bulb, it's like everywhere, but it goes 300% farther on like one tenth the power. But the problem is it picks up way more noise, so it's hard to get a signal from a to b. Right? And so these guys have figured it out, supposedly. So what they did to show us their tech is they had two little antennas the size of a credit card that they taped on on a cell you know those cell phone antennas, like the like the towers? Yeah. Okay. The big towers. Yeah. Yeah. So they had two towers on each side of Heber, and they pointed them each other, and they would they basically just sent ones and zeros across the city. And then when the ones and zeros hit the other tower, you would record how long it took. And then they had two credit cards with a nine volt battery, and it was 300% faster across the city. And these engineers are like, this is impossible. No way. So I was like, I'm I gave them my almost a million bucks. I'm like, I'm in because I'm just kind of wired that way. I'm like, oh, this is awesome. I'm in. So I invested into their tech, and they ended up building it, and it kind of did what they said. But something that happened out of that is when we were putting the antennas on the soldiers, before we ever hooked it into a radio, the antennas were picking up electrical, what we called it noise. And we were like, where's the noise coming from? So we'd go into another building and do it again, and it'd pick up noise. And we're like, what the heck's going on? Well, come to find out it was the body. We just aren't doctors, but the body's electrical. And it basically we were just picking up and and the the antennas were naturally interacting with the body's electrical field. So So we got to stop there because that like, that's

Kayvon Kay7:18there's so much here. Right? And I and I really wanna understand this because this goes to a lot of stuff that I personally love, which is, like, you know, we we have spirit, we have energy, and all, you know, and that you're really touching on this, but, like, in a scientific way. So we're talking about Navy SEALs jumping out of a plane with satellites, you know, as long as whatever, right? 80 pound backpacks. And this team and you guys were tasked was how can we take these satellites?

Mike Hammond7:47It was an antenna. Yeah. Antenna. An

Kayvon Kay7:50Shrink it down. And shrink it right down. So you guys figure out, well, we know how to shrink it right down. So we get it down from this huge antenna to a size of a credit card. Is that correct? Yep. That's what they did. So now now I'm jumping out of a plane with an 80 pound pack and not an antenna anymore. Just a little credit card that sits on my chest or And something like actually the the amount of the pack was cut. I mean, it's one tenth the power.

Mike Hammond8:14So way down. Way down. So it changed everything for those guys. Right? And so so when we noticed that it interacted with the body, that's actually what kicked off us being like, well, I wonder if we could do something if the body so what's pain like, Google, you should type it in your AI right now. What causes pain in the body? It's going to be an electrical frequency that your nerves generate that go up your neural pathway and hit the brain. The more energy, it's just energy, that hits the brain, the more pain you feel. So coming from the tech world, we're like, that's easy. So I'm going to explain this in layman terms. Lightning, everyone understands lightning. Lightning hits a house or a tree, boom. But if you put a stupid little lightning rod on your house, it will go across your house to the lightning rod into the ground. Why? Why does that work? For like most people don't understand it, but energy always follows the path of least resistance. And so you're giving it an easier path to the ground, so all that energy can just focus into the rod and then go to the ground. It's easier travel. What's kind of what our neural pathways create, right, with the blood and the veins, and they generate that energy. It travels up the neural pathways to the brain. It's easier. When it hits this patch for eighty five percent of people, there's fifteen percent that are just a little bit different, and we've built this basically, we can cover about eighty five percent. We've done five clinicals, and it's eighty five percent every time. So

Kayvon Kay9:50I want to be very clear. This is very wow. Wow. Very interesting. Yeah. So you're saying eighty five percent of the population In our clinicals. Current sorry?

Mike Hammond10:00Yeah. 85% of everyone in our clinicals, this works for. This works for, meaning

Kayvon Kay10:06there's a set of a population where it doesn't work. Why is that because they don't generate They're just a little bit different, we'd have to tweak it. Right? So

Mike Hammond10:16frequency attracts frequency. So this is a collection of certain products, I have to be careful with our patents, that we basically put together that create a certain frequency. Okay. And so for what happens is when so if I hurt my hand and I stick this on my arm, usually 85% of the time people are like, oh, it's getting warm, or they feel a tingle. The reason why is that energy is going up and hits the patch, and all of a sudden, it's easier for the energy to just go into the patch. Instead sort of going into the brain or going somewhere else. Instead of going all the way up to the brain, we give it a highway out of the body. So this is what's cool. So chronic discomfort or normal discomfort, any of that type of stuff, pain is a disease. We have to get FDA cleared before we can be a pain patch, but discomfort. Zero side effects because we're not putting in like, even a TENS unit is shocking your nerves and scrambling them so they don't work for a while. This is nothing. It's just allowing that energy to leave. So what happens, which you saw in that picture I sent you, is when you get rid of the cause of what causes you to hurt, right, inflammation leaves immediately. And so that's where you're seeing it's like it's it's there's two sides to it. Not only does it not hurt, but the inflammation leaves, they get their maneuverability back. And then things heal faster. Like you sprang your ankle, you wait three days to get the inflammation out of your ankle, and then it starts to heal. What if you can make it go away in ten minutes? How much faster does it heal? So we've been testing this out with athletes. We did the national soccer team down in Mexico used it, and they went their main injury was a quad injury. That's what professional soccer players get the most. It takes twenty eight to thirty days for a quad injury usually to heal. Eight seven to eight days, they said with the patch.

Kayvon Kay12:43That's nuts. These are these are crazy. Listen. It's absolutely nuts. These are big claims. I love them because I'm easy to sell as a sales guy that you know, the easiest guys to sell are sales guys. But I I just know people are like, bullshit. They're saying bullshit right now. And they should. They they should because that's what I said. Yeah. Right? So that's why I'm I'm I'm not saying it. I I'm giving you there's such an opportunity to actually to to discuss this. Like, what like, how is this so different? And then the reality is, like I said on the first call, if it's as good as it is, why why has not everybody heard it? Like, why, you know, the whole world should need need to hear about this. Right? Because I was gonna ask that one question. There there there's so much science that a lot of pain the the, you know, disease, right, comes from the mindset more than actually what's actually happening in the body. Now, like, you know, I always say, there's a caveat, like cancer's cancer. Like, that's you you know what I mean? But how you approach cancer, how you go through cancer, how you get over cancer, that that has a lot to do with the state of mind. Yeah. A broken bone. Like, nobody's coming and fixing a broken bone. So I wanna be very clear. And you said it. This patch doesn't heal a broken bone. But what the patch does is it takes the trauma around the broken bone away faster, aka the inflammation, so that the body can start healing itself at a quicker rate, which then allows you to heal the bone quicker. So the patch isn't necessarily I want to be very clear on this because I think it's it's it's important. The patch isn't the miracle drug that's clear it's automatically healing healing this bone. It's the miracle drug that's healing the inflammation around the broken bone, which allows the body to heal faster. Oh, I don't think this replaces

Mike Hammond14:34anything that you actually need to do to fix the problem in the first place. It's just one of those tools. I mean, one of the things we're figuring out right now, right, in today's world is there's different therapies that everyone used to be like, this is what you do for cancer. Now some people are like, well, yeah, let's do that, but let's stack these other seven things on top of it. And now and then you have people that are I mean, I just met a lady, has nothing to do with our they use our patch in their clinic, but there's a clinic that stacks modalities like crazy out in San Diego. And I met actually a supermodel from LA. She had stage four breast cancer, four tumors, and in twelve days, all four tumors were benign. Seems impossible, but it's like what they're doing is they're stacking multiple things, and it's just like we can do things better by bringing it all together, right? Right, yeah. And so this is really only doing one thing, and that is it's allowing that energy that causes people to hurt. It's basically allowing you to get rid of that, right? Pulling that out of the body, but that's so applicable to so many different things. That's what I wanted to get across to people is whether you're an athlete or whether you're 70 years old and you're just dealing with chronic discomfort at the point where it hurts to get out of bed, this is one of the tools everyone should have in their toolbox. Because I mean, the thing lasts a year. You can wear it every day for a year. But this is the other thing I was going to get at is we're not here trying we're not trying to like sell snake oil. And so most people know in fifteen minutes if this is working. There's a few of them that have to wait a day or so, but most people in fifteen minutes, we give people forty five days, they get every dollar back. Yeah, it's And so it's like It's a no brainer. You don't have to believe me. If you don't believe me, just try it and see. Like, yeah, you think I'm full of crap, well, just order it and then tell me if I'm full of crap in fifteen minutes.

Kayvon Kay16:40So let's talk let's talk about the story if you can't. I don't know if you can. And if you can't, that's fine. But there was something about a pretty big public, government official, that used this, that had foot pain, used this. All of a sudden, you're getting calls from the the US government saying, you gotta come in. We gotta do studies on this. Is is that a story that we can say or no? It's it's I can tell you what happened. So back last year in

Mike Hammond17:09July, I think, there was a MAHA event at the Microsoft Building in DC. And I was actually one of the speakers that spoke at that event. And so right before me were two of the coolest products. There was a heart surgeon who had actually taken a pig's heart, and they'd done three of these already, but they were injecting it with stem cells and turning it into a transplant human heart that matched your blood type in six months, which, dude, this is a game changer, right? Wow. I was like, dude, that is so cool. And then the next guy was actually one of the partners with Bill Gates on Microsoft. He had built this cool device, looked like a clock, and you stick it in your house. And you know, like, they have those pendants for older people when the elderly fall down, they hit it, and it calls nine one one? Well, you get rid of that. This thing scans through the walls and floors, and it locks onto, like, your mom or your dad, and it watches them wherever they go, and looks at their heartbeat and their breathing and all their vitals. And then if they fall down, it calls 911 and sends them all the vitals, which I was like, dude, this is so rad. Like, these are cool things, right? Yeah. That's what I love about RFK, actually, in this group is they're pushing they're speeding the process up. It used to take ten years for stuff like that to get to market, which is insane. And they're figuring out how to get these these really cool advancements to people. Well, dude, I'm already I'm, like, up next. I'm after the Microsoft guy, and I'm thinking literally, like, I'm going to look like I have a patch. Yeah. So so luckily, my marketing guys were geniuses, and we had this we had this it was by pure luck this happened. But earlier, we're in DC, vets. We love vets. And what happened is I was in Walmart just earlier, and a vet was actually I'm right by Yellowstone National Park, so we're on the border of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. It's all right here. And this vet was sitting at Walmart, and he had a sign, and he just said he just basically said, can anyone give me money? I'm trying to get to the vet hospital in Bozeman. Anything helps. And I see someone hold $20 out their window, and he stands up to get it and just grabs his leg and sits back down and lets the car drive off. So me, because this is like my world, I'm like, no way. This is awesome. So I run to the office, and I get all my customer service people because they hear stuff on the phone, but I want people to see it because one of the things that's like a miracle every time is phantom leg, like missing limbs. This thing's like changes lives in ten seconds. So I get these people. Well, one of my employees pulls out their cell phone and records it, which we don't know at the time. So we go up to this vet, and it's like, authentic is authentic, and we're like, hey, how are doing? He's like, not good. How long has your leg been hurting? He goes, thirty years. What happened? It was a submarine explosion in Vietnam. Yeah. Okay. And he's like I'm like, so how bad is it? And he goes he looks at me and he goes, I haven't slept a single night in thirty years. Wow. And then you realize, like, this guy's hurting. Well, he put the patch on his leg. And I'm like, hey, I want to see if this actually will will help with the discomfort you're feeling in your lower leg. And so I put it right in his knee right on the prosthetic, where his leg goes into the prosthetic right on top, because it doesn't even have to touch the skin. Just has to get in your electrical grid. Wow. Well, he's like in ten seconds, he's like, that's crazy. And he's like, it doesn't hurt. And I go, why don't you try walking? He goes, because in my mind, I'm like, it doesn't hurt. So you'd get up excited to try and walk. He's like, no, you don't understand. I can't walk. I can't walk. And I'm like, why don't you just try it? So he gets up, he takes three steps, he turns around, and tears just come down both eyes, and he salutes us. So we're like, we give him the money for the bus ticket. We take off, we get back to the office, and my employee's like, I just recorded that whole thing on my cell phone. And I'm like, no way. I need to get a release. That's so awesome. So we go back to Walmart to find this guy, and this is my favorite, dude, my favorite part. He's running circles around his wheelchair. He's just like running around his wheelchair, and we get up, and now it's not crying. It's a huge smile, and he's like, can you believe this? I can't believe this. Look what I'm doing. And he's walking around his wheelchair. It was just like life changing. Right? We showed that video standing ovation.

Kayvon Kay22:03Even though those other things were so much cooler in my Well, mind this is yeah. This is life changing. Absolutely. We had senators. We had everyone in that room standing up and just, like, standing ovation because people realize everyone knows someone like that. Right? Who's in some chronic pain for sure. My question is we go through it. I go, how much of that, you know, like, I'm not a skeptic, but I guess I am because these things these thoughts come through my head. I'm I'm hearing all that, and I'm like, yeah. But how much of that is like placebo or, you know, he whatever it might be versus real. I don't know. I'm just wondering. I'm asking It's the it's great question. Right? And so that got really everyone interested.

Mike Hammond22:43So then we got asked to go meet with, yeah, one of the cabinet members, and he had really bad foot. He for six years, it has been killing him, no relief. And so we made those little signal step insoles. And two days two days after I gave it to him, I got a text from a doctor that actually is his personal doctor over at the White House. He used to be the joint chief staff's physician, now he works with a bunch of them. And he just goes, Mike, we need to talk. Blank just got ahold of me and said his feet aren't hurting anymore. This thing's amazing. I want to get some trials going at Georgetown. When can we talk? And that's where that started, but it was like, it's just got it rolling. So we still have I mean, to get FDA to be like where doctors can prescribe it, right? Like we have We're far away, but that's the end goal. What's cool is that it qualifies as a health and wellness patch because it's so noninvasive. And so in our mind, I'm like, hey, we got to get there eventually, but right now what we can do is we can make it I'm not allowed on TV to ever say risk free, but we can make it so people don't have to risk a whole lot. Yeah. They can buy it, right? And they can try it, and if it changes their life, awesome. I mean, has a grandma, a grandpa, an uncle, an aunt. They know someone. And if this can change their life, here's the placebo question. This is the best part. So we actually had this right here is the Jovi.

Kayvon Kay24:15You noticing a difference in there now? I'm I'm seeing it. I'm seeing I'm wondering, does it do referring pain? Does it switch the pain elsewhere?

Mike Hammond24:23It will. Your body can actually move it, and so you just you follow the patch with it. Yeah. Okay. Because it Yep. Did Yep. That works. And that's exactly the body's like, wait a minute. I'm not getting anything there, so then it will start to move it. But the other thing that happens is when that relaxes, you fill it where you used to not fill it because it used to be worse in the other area. So you just just let it just let it migrate. But we launched this on social media. It was for menstrual cramp or Okay. Yeah. That time of the month. Right? And so that kind of discomfort, basically, this thing is awesome. So we launch it, and it sells like crazy. But then this lady texts me back. So she sends us a video and says, hey, did you guys ever try this on a dog? And then she has a video of her dog, and it has arthritis. It can't walk up the stairs. And then she had taken a bandage, like the brown wrap bandage. Yeah. She bandaged one of these around its back, and the dog was running up and down the stairs. Come on. So I'm like, no way. So this is like not random at all, but this is exactly how this worked out. So two weeks before we launched this, two weeks before this dog thing gets posted, my brother-in-law dies in a car wreck. And he's a big hunter. He was on Steve Outdoor Ventures, and he had this horse called Moose. It was a walking horse. And so my sister comes to me and said, I'm a horse I'm a huge horse guy. She's like, Mike, I don't know how to take care of this horse, but his boy, Ryan's or son wants this horse, so will you take care of it? I'm like, I know for sure. Who wouldn't? Right? So I'm like, bring it over to my house. I got it. So the horse is at my house. It's this 17 hand huge walker, and it breaks through the gate, and I didn't have it tight enough, and it gets into my 50 gallon drum of grain and starts eating the grain. Well, for anyone that knows horses, if you give them more than a couple scoops, it gets so hot that they basically will founder. It will like create heat, and that heat will go and blow out their feet, and they're usually done. Oh, no. So you'll notice on July I think it's the twenty second in this picture. I'm going to send you the pictures. July 22, the horse is on the ground. You'll see the pain in its face because it's got all that heat. And then four days later, you'll see that you'll see its legs perfectly white. Four days later, I'll send you another picture, and you'll see it's still on the ground. Only holes have been blown out both of its back legs. It's still on the ground, hasn't got up. Vet's telling me, I don't know if we're going to be able to save this thing. It's pretty bad. The girl posts this thing about this dog. Well, I'm instantly like, oh my gosh. I got to at least what do I have to lose? I'm going to try it on the horse, right? Yeah. The truth is, is yeah, placebo is a real thing, but you'll notice when you look at our clinicals that we're so far above the placebo, like our results are high. And so there's always placebo for sure, but it's hard to fake placebo with a horse and a dog. Yeah, I agree. And so it's just a really cool game changing product. I mean, we have a new one coming out called the Signal Core that's for, it's like a back brace, and so you can actually get support, plus it's twice as big, so it absorbs more energy, and so that's game changer for the older generation.

Kayvon Kay28:00And then the one that I have that I have on here, you're saying I can give that to my wife when it's, you know, that she's having that time of the month there,

Mike Hammond28:08and it helps alleviate the pain. Oh, dude, like game changer. We did a trial, one of our trials actually, it was a it's just health and wellness trial, so not like clinical, but we took. We basically interacted with the Endometriosis Society, and they gave us 200 women with endometriosis that wanted to try it. Right? So it worked again for eighty five percent, same exact percentage, but the average decrease was only a forty percent. So I thought we failed. I'm like, dude, we suck. Forty percent? We gave it to 80 women. 80 women tried it in that trial, and I think it's on the website. Well, I called the president of the Endometriosis Society, and I'm like, hey, this doesn't work then? Is this we're struggling, it looks like. And he goes, dude, I've never seen something work this good, ever. He goes, you don't understand. People that have this live in pain. There's no there's nothing you can do to get rid of it. And he's like, we've never seen anything like this. So we're in the middle of an actual IBR clinical right now for that very thing Wow. That will be done this end of this year. But it's just a really cool product. And I mean, I'm glad we came across it. I think it can do a lot of good, but I think ultimately FDA clearance, medical, like getting into the medical, building one that actually can be issued by doctors is

Kayvon Kay29:35that's what you But want to I that's great, but why do you need one to get issued by doctors? I mean, is a pretty low investment from what I'm from what we talked about. We're talking about what? Like $80? A $100? It is literally a $120

Mike Hammond29:49for a year. A $120

Kayvon Kay29:52for a year.

Mike Hammond29:53With your discount. Because you have a discount code that gives people a huge amount off. I think it's normally $1.60, but we're doing like they have a normal discount, and then you get an additional percent off for all of your listeners that's on top of what's out there already. And so it's nothing. And it's like, I mean, if it doesn't work, you get your money back. That's the great thing. But if it does, that's probably the best $120 you've spent all year. And so, dude, I wish I could send you my voicemails from guys that I get I bought a large construction company from this old old I mean, you can imagine. So it was a huge construction company at the time when I bought it out in Jackson Hole. The guy has all the means in the world, but he's like, man, he was sitting down, he's like, I just can't sit anymore. It hurts too bad. And he's like, I have to go to he had to go to church. He called it state conference and sit on a wooden bench, and he was so nervous. So I gave him my patch. He's one of the first guys I ever gave one to ever. And I've kept his voicemail now for four years because I get his voicemail, and he goes his voicemail's like, Mike, I don't know what to say. He's like, I don't know what the hell you put in this thing, but this is crazy. Was just a surprise in his voice. He's like, this is crazy. I sat on the bench for three hours. I sat up and shook hands for an hour, and I haven't had to take any Advil. He's like, this is just this is amazing. And he actually was one of our first investors. He called me back and was like, how do I invest into this? But it's just such a cool product because I think I feel like Western medicine has taken this shift over the last few years where we just give people more stuff to get rid of a problem, but the side effects are almost more damaging than the problem itself, right? And so we have a lot of addiction now that we're dealing with everywhere, and we have something right here that's non invasive, non addictive, and probably for some people even more effective, which is crazy. And and so I just say, man, what do you have to lose to try it? Especially with with the deal you're giving everyone, like, they should try it.

Kayvon Kay32:12Yeah. We're going to have that in the show notes for sure. I'm just gonna say this. I was excited to have you because if if if we're if what you're saying is happening and you're changing lives at the rate you're changing, then like, I just wanna be part of that, you know, that whole program basically. And to have you on here and to hopefully, if listeners are sitting here, I'm just gonna say this, like legit. If you're sitting here and you have chronic pain or you know someone who has chronic pain and or feeling with discomfort, you really have nothing to lose. This could be the thing that actually allows whether it's your grandma, maybe your grandfather, your mom, your dad to be able to walk again, to be able to get up with vitality. Your wife to not have the pain that they have to feel every month. Like, I mean, what you're saying is this is this is like the miracle patch here and the science proves it and you're changing lives. So I think it's a no brainer. That's why I was excited to have you on and hear about this because you don't hear about these stories all the time. And it's hard because you can get marketed to really well with this stuff. And it can actually backfire because at some point when it's too good to be too too good to be true, people don't it's too good to be true. But this is one of those situations where too good to be true is true. And

Mike Hammond33:36you just got to actually invest and do it. Dude, I I got a I had a story once that was emailed to us. It was actually I'm going keep names off of it, but a mom emailed our customer service. This was, gosh, three years ago, and we've we've kind of like pasted this up in our corporate office because this is like what we're all about. Right? But when you think about like, I have six kids, and it's like, it's one thing when you hurt, but when you watch your kids suffer, it's like a whole different game for the parent. Right? Like, sucks. And it was the emotion that I felt with this lady that it's just this is like the biggest game changer for us. But we got this email. She says, hello. I wanna just say thank you. Thank you for giving my daughter her life back. Seven years ago, my daughter, who was eight at the time, started complaining about her feet and her lower legs hurting. She was a competitive dancer and tumbler, so I figured it was from that. After a little while, it got worse to the point that she quit dance. I took her to a pediatric who sent her to an orthopedic surgeon who sent her to a vascular specialist, who then sent her to a rheumatologist at Primary Children's. The rheumatologist finally diagnosed her with amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome, extreme and constant pain. After five years of doctors' MRIs, physical therapy, wearing special boots, compressing socks, it was determined there was nothing that could help her. The pain averaged an eight on a scale of one to 10. There's days she had to call us from her friend's house two doors away because she couldn't walk home. She had to turn down birthday parties, trampoline parks, ice skating rinks. She even had her friends leave her in the middle of the mall because she couldn't walk anymore, and they wanted to continue shopping. Through it all, she's always been happy, hid the pain as much as possible, but her life's never been the same. Six weeks ago, I was browsing Facebook and had a neighbor talking about cramps. Someone suggested your patch. I decided to click on the link, and as I read the description, I had tears streaming down my eyes because I just knew I needed to try one for my daughter. I ordered them right away, and when they came, we were excited and also a little skeptical. I helped my daughter put one on her leg, and within seconds, she started sobbing uncontrollably. I started to panic, thinking she was hurt. But she looked me in the eyes and barely managed to say, mom, it's gone, completely gone. This sweet girl who's not had one minute of relief in over seven years, and it's gone in an instant. We put another one on her other leg, and the same thing happened. After she stopped sobbing, she stood up, jumped around the kitchen. She hasn't been able to do that in so long. She's been wearing the patch on both legs every day since, and it's been the biggest miracle and blessing our family's ever experienced. I've been meaning to write this for a few weeks, but my emotions about it are so strong, I'm even crying now. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Words of gratitude for the patch will never be enough to express how we feel, but you forever changed my daughter's life. That's what it's all about. Yeah. And that's, like, why we're so excited, our passion for it, is it's like, do you allow parents to do that? I can't imagine. Yeah. I can't imagine what that woman felt like watching her daughter not be able to do anything. Hey, my daughter just broke her tibia.

Kayvon Kay36:52I'm putting this on her. I'm not lying. I'm putting this on her. My wife's thinking I may think I'm crazy, but I'm gonna put this on her, and I'm gonna absolutely. I love it. I'm gonna make sure my wife listens to this, I'm and gonna make sure everybody hears this. I I really do believe that I think if this is the life, if this is the stuff that you're doing and that you like like the lives you're changing, we need to be louder about this. Mhmm. Many people, I mean, there's too much hurt, too much pain in the world. People just suffering with pain they don't need. Chronic pain that the doctor said, oh, this is just what it is, you know, writing them off. And we're helping people who had from, you know, the war thirty years of pain now dancing around the wheelchair. Yeah. A daughter. Yeah. I can't imagine those stories. You know, two to two doors down, can't even walk home. Friends in the middle of the mall dropping to the floor and can't move forward. Like, that's painful for everybody. And that this patch is fixing that.

Mike Hammond37:54It's crazy. And so it's it's one of those things that say it's it's not the answer to everything. Right? Like, there's have so many good things in the world right now, but it's I I just feel like, and this what I always pitch, I just say it's one of the tools that everyone should have. Like, you're going to have a medical cabinet full of hydrogen per oxide, right, like kind of a no brainer in your Yeah. Neosporin. It's like, this is one of those things that should be in that medicine cabinet because it's awesome.

Kayvon Kay38:22And is there any is there was there any indication of wearing it too long or having it on too much, or is it just something? No, I wear mine all the time. In fact,

Mike Hammond38:33so I actually this is what's funny. We never no one ever tells their whole story, right? So I invest in this company, they're building the antennas. It wasn't me that figured out how to make it not, like, help with discomfort. It was my business partner, Daniel, that ran the factory. So he calls me, and he's like, dude, you need to come check this out. He's like, you you would be floored what this does actually for back discomfort and leg discomfort, knees, shoulders. He's like, this is crazy. And I was like, nah, I'm not interested. I I literally was the guy saying, dude, this is stupid. Like, I'm this not is dumb. And finally, I'm out visiting him, and I'm just visiting him at his office, and I had back pain. So what had happened for me is I'd blown out a disc in my, I was I was a CrossFitter. We owned a CrossFit gym, and we were doing those those overhead cleans. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And you know how you're competing? I did too much, and it just is bad. So for eight years, if I put more than a 100 pens on my back, it would pop back out. It was just a weak link at that point. And so Dan Marriott got me to put one on, and back then it looked like a mouse pad. It's what he'd build it into. It looked like this mouse pad. I'm like, this is so dumb. And I stick it on, and like ten minutes later, I'm like, what the heck? It doesn't hurt anymore. And that's what got me to invest and like start building the patch is that he put this mouse pad on me and I experienced it, and then I was like, no way. And so I started from there, and I just think I understand why people go there because there's so much crap out there anymore. And everyone says they have something that does miracles. Like, MLMs, like, they're everywhere. Right? And every every MLM's product, I swear, like, changes your life. Yeah. And so I I'm there. I get it. But that's why we do the money back guarantee is like, I get it, but, like, try it.

Kayvon Kay40:35It's it's a no brainer. Well, I mean, here it is. Right? It's Signal Relief. Is it signalrelief.com?

Mike Hammond40:41Signalrelief.com. Yep. And then you have the

Kayvon Kay40:45coupon code, everything in the show notes for sure. Again, I'm just gonna say, you you have nothing to lose, and from the sounds of it, everything to gain either for yourself or someone you love, your your parents, whoever it might be. Mike. Yeah. I mean, changing lives. I mean, waking up and getting messages like that, I I can't like, that's those are that's what we call is priceless.

Mike Hammond41:08Oh, it's it's the best. Like, my my CEO on Thanksgiving, when you're sending out your Thanksgiving tax text, he was like, dude, I've always wanted to have a job. This is a guy that actually I talked into coming over here, but he'd already retired. He's already a very successful business guy. He'd graduated from Columbia, and he'd just done well with nursing homes. And he's like, I've always wanted a job that I just woke up every day excited to go to work. And he goes, Signal's given me that. I just want to thank you for this opportunity. This is different than anything I've experienced. And I just think when you can work and it's not about money, finally. Right? Yeah.

Kayvon Kay41:54Then it's really fun to go to work every day, and that's that's that's what this has done for us. And changing lives. I love it. I love it. Well, Mike, it's appreciate to be here. I really I really appreciate you stopping in and being here and letting us be part of this journey of so many people's lives. So I'm gonna even say this, if you buy from from the links here and it changes you, I want you to send me a message. I wanna hear about this. I wanna hear about who who has helped so we can get the message out to more people.

Mike Hammond42:23That'd be awesome. Thank you, man. I appreciate it.

This write-up was produced from the recording of How Military Technology Became a Pain Relief Patch (The Accidental Breakthrough Nobody Expected). Every quote is verbatim and timestamped to the audio above.

Show Notes

Most breakthrough products start with a problem. Signal Relief started with Navy SEALs, an 80-pound backpack, and a five-foot antenna. Mike Hammond had already built and sold one of the largest Dish Network retailers in the United States when he was pulled into a very different world: advanced antenna technology being developed to help reduce the weight soldiers carried into the field.

The goal was straightforward. Shrink the antenna, reduce the power, make the signal travel farther. Then something happened that nobody on the team was looking for. Before the antennas were even connected to a radio, they started picking up what the engineers thought was electrical noise. The noise wasn't coming from the building. It was coming from the human body.

In this episode, Mike walks through exactly how that discovery led to Signal Relief, a wearable wellness patch that redirects pain signals out of the body rather than masking them. No chemicals. No medication. No side effects across 800,000 units sold. He breaks down the science in plain terms, the five clinical trials that keep landing at 85 percent efficacy, the White House cabinet member whose foot pain vanished in two days, the horse that was going to be put down and stood up walking two hours after the patch was applied, and the mother's email that is posted on the wall of Signal Relief's corporate office because it says everything the company cannot say in an ad.

This is also a story about what happens when an entrepreneur from the satellite industry stumbles into health and wellness and refuses to let regulatory friction stop him from getting something real into people's hands.

This episode is for founders who want to understand what a hardware-based health innovation actually looks like to build, for operators who study how a product with military origins crosses into consumer markets, and for anyone who has watched someone they care about manage chronic pain without real relief.

The conversation covers how pain works at an electrical level and why that matters for non-pharmaceutical solutions, the growing landscape of stacked wellness modalities and where wearable technology fits inside it, what FDA clearance requires versus what a health and wellness designation allows right now, and how Signal Relief is being studied at the Georgetown clinical level following its debut at a MAHA event in Washington D.C.

It also gets into what the product does not do, which matters as much as what it does, and how Mike thinks about building trust in a market that has been burned by inflated claims too many times.
